Piano-bass jazz duo, back for the Thanksgiving week. Great beach town bar and grill with  straight-ahead jazz.

Screening of the feature-length documentary Bill Evans Time Remembered preceded by a live set by the Dick Fregulia Bill Evans Tribute Trio (Piro Patton on bass, Jimmy Hobson on drums). For more information and online tickets go to Larktheater.net.

The Dick Fregulia Trio and the Dick Conte Trio will each play a 50-minute set at the new outdoor concert patio behind the JB Piano Company.  Steve Webber will be on bass and Michael Aragon on drums for both sets.  Light refreshments as well as beer and wine will be available. Outdoor seating. 

Jazz piano is pretty scary, I guess. If not, I'll try to dress  for Halloween.

Not just a piano bar, a JAZZ piano bar!

My last night here until October 10. Wendy Fitz will be subbing for me September 26 and Larry Moss October3.

Probably our last appearance at the Sand Dollar for awhile. I will be out of town the last week of September and the Sand Dollar is scheduled to close October 1 for a couple of months of infrastructure work.  Will keep you posted.
